I have been carving woodspirits in Cottonwood Bark for about 8 years. I feel that they symbolically connect the human spirit with the natural world. Traditionally, woodspirits bring good luck and safe passage through life. My first carving of 2025 is also one of the tallest I've done at 27 inches.
