Went to my first University open day with my daughter yesterday. She's only in year 12 so we're not making the decisions for another year, but I'm hoping that seeing what her next step could be will inspire her for her A Level study.

Celebrating submitting the first two assessments for my degree today. Not sure how good they are, but know I will learn a lot from the feedback, and it’s all part of the journey :)

I’ve been taking full advantage of my employer’s summer working policy to work from home for the last 6 weeks. But now it’s back to mandatory two days per week in the office. Not looking forward to the extra commuting time.

What a privilege this evening to get to listen to a world champion brass band rehearse before their next big competition :)

Early start this morning - on a train before 7am to travel across the Pennines. Will be good to be face to face with my colleagues rather than looking at them over a Teams session though :)

This evening I’ve been sitting with my daughter putting all of her mock and actual GCSE exam dates into the family calendar. It’s all getting remarkably real. Tips for keeping a teenager sane through this very busy period of their life? I’m thinking lots of treats and reminders to take time out.

Had my first attempt at GM-ing the Pathfinder 2e Beginner Box last night. My players made it almost to the end of the first floor - we paused just as they were about to enter the last room. I think my players had fun and I enjoyed it rather more than I expected. Looking forward to our next session!
