A true #organoid for #pancreatic modeling presented at BCIPCC by Jonathan.
Beautifully captures the cellular heterogeneity and architecture. It's the first time I see functional acinar cells sitting on ductal structures with an intact endocrine component.
Limitless opportunities here.
Human pancreatic organoids derived from pluripotent stem cells recapitulate pancreatic organogenesis
Pancreas organogenesis relies on sequential interactions between the pancreatic epithelium and surrounding mesodermal cell types that initiate epithelial budding and branching to form a complex ductal...

Inspiring days at the BCIPCC International Pancreatic Cancer Conference. From new model systems to advances in tumour initiation, progression, and clinical translation. Leaving with fresh ideas to test at the bench. Also, exciting to see cancer neuroscience gaining ground in the pancreatic field.

Attending the 2nd Botton-Champalimaud International #CancerConference at @champalimaudr.bsky.social
Looking forward to hear the latest advances in #pancreaticcancer research, from bench to bedside.
Feeling at home scientifically as well as geographically.

Clinically targeting sensory neurons in cancer treatment may offer a wide range of benefits. From reducing tumour growth to preventing metastasis, boosting anti tumour immunity, and, as equally important, improve the quality of life.

Witnessing the birth of a new #cancerhallmark by one of their fathers, Douglas Hanahan.
#cancerneuroscince has come to stay.
Great @helloeacr.bsky.social meeting with an exception selection of speakers and audience. Instrumental to connecting #neuroscience and #cancerbiology.
