I was expecting a supernatural horror à la Stephen King since the title seemed to slyly evoke not 1, but 2 King stories. Instead it's a bloody generational horror explicitly about MAGA.
I suspect horror about a generation of Americans going stark staring mad will proliferate in the years to come.

Trying to get back to my chain-smoking reading habits of my teens and 20s. I just finished House of Open Wounds and since I liked Starving Saints a lot I'm starting another by Caitlin Starling.

Imagine if Terry Pratchett had tried his hand at Grimdark fantasy. The wry humour is still there just under several layers of blood and gore.

Even before Echolands JH Williams was being playful with the idea of different characters being drawn in different artist's styles. In the Morrison Batman story The Black Glove one character seems to be drawn in the style of Howard Chaykin and another in that of Dave Gibbons.
