People stay having this idea that American conservatism has this mythic past it's since fallen from. They have always been very bad.
people on CNN right now keep saying "this is NOT the party of Ronald Reagan" as if being "the party of Ronald Reagan" is good, or as if this is not the logical continuation of everything Ronald Reagan stood for

The modern era is full of the bizarre argumentative phenomenon of aggressive fragility. Instead of puffing oneself up as strong, one posits oneself as glass-doll weak, such that any opposition (any talk one dislikes existing) is to be seen as unethical attack. Literally pathetic.
