Yep, and he (or a ghostwriter) wrote about it in his book.

For my column today, I wrote about how Trump leveraged America's collapsing trust in institutions — and how his second term has accelerated that collapse. Gift link: wapo.st/3IzN4QA

House Speaker Mike Johnson calls for the Senate to "censure" Alex Padilla after he was restrained and handcuffed by FBI agents at Kristi Noem's presser, adding that it is "wildly inappropriate behavior."

So it looks like Republicans want to escalate this!

We know what democracy looks like.

This is what dictatorship looks like.

The violent handcuffing of a United States senator, without cause.

Call this regime a coup, or domestic terrorism, dictatorship — it isn’t our democracy, and we can’t let it continue.

#NoKings No dictators. No Trump.

Ukrainian security service sources tell @financialtimes.com the agency is conducting "a large-scale special operation to destroy enemy bomber aircraft" deep inside Russia.

"SBU drones are targeting aircraft that bomb Ukrainian cities every night." Claims 40 aircraft have been hit.

The geographic scale of these attacks are extraordinary. Irkutsk is 3,000 miles (4,900 km) from Kyiv, at the same longitude as central Mongolia.

Put it another way, that's like Anchorage successfully launching an attack on Indianapolis.

Trump's attempts to rule by decree - using absurdly broad interpretations of statutes enacted by Congress to render Congress irrelevant - is at odds with the Constitution's Separation of Powers and akin to... authoritarian dictatorships. But the GOP-controlled SCOTUS and Congress are ok with it.
This is striking. We now have two Trump-appointed judges directly knocking down Trump's power to simply create emergencies by decree and then assuming extraordinarily sweeping powers on that basis.

This is the thing to watch. It's key to their dictatorial project.

But in terms of corruption, nothing is as problematic as what these f*ckers are doing with crypto.

Absolutely blatant, wanton corruption.

In his first term Trump wouldn’t read his intelligence briefings no matter how, well, *brief* aides made them.

Now they’re considering creating a video version that’s “made to look and feel like a Fox News broadcast.”

And why not? His cabinet meetings already look and feel like Fox News. 🫤
Gabbard considering ways to revamp Trump's intelligence briefing
One idea is to make the briefing, which according to his schedule Trump has been taking less often than his predecessors, a video that looks like Fox News.
