Department of Defense Law of War Manual, Sec. 18.3.2.1 states the "requirement" to refuse illegal orders.

What’s its key example? Wait for it . . . It’s "orders to fire upon the shipwrecked."

Trump said he could shoot somebody on 5th Avenue and not lose any support. But f#%king little girls and murdering his pedophile friend in prison? He would probably lose 3% in the polls over that. At least for a few weeks.

The election results Tuesday should show us that we can have the revolution we need, at the ballot box next November. There are 35 Senate elections in 2026, and 22 of those seats are held by Republikkkans. Winning 20 of them will give Democrats a 67-vote supermajority. 1/

OK folks, here's the deal. Spotify is running ICE recruitment ads and has ignored asks to stop. It's time to tell them we won't stream fascism - by cancelling our subscriptions. Here's how to get started: indivisible.org/cancel-spotify

Can you hit repost? Marjorie Taylor Greene doesn't want you to know the name of her opponent but will try every desperate attempt to save her seat.

Here’s an alternative to bloody civil war
Citizens Assemblies could legally constrain delegates at an Article V (some say "constitutional") convention, building democratic accountability into the amending process. So incredibly happy this truth is finally breaking through. Excellent article in the Fulcrum.

How Citizens’ Assemblies Can Rebuild the House of American Democracy—Before It’s Demolished
The house of the American republic is tottering. Once unthinkable, it’s now undeniable that our shared home has deteriorated the same way you go broke: gradually, then suddenly. At the time it was…

@leahgreenberg.bsky.social can Indivisible plan any protest actions with Fox News? Trump has 85% approval with Fox viewers. Those are the hearts and minds we need to change.

The Republikkkans don’t just want to undo Biden or Obama, their goal is to roll back to the 1880s - after Reconstruction, with Jim Crow firmly established and the robber barons in charge
People are quick to make comparisons between US democratic backsliding and places like Hungary and Turkey, but the American South pre VRA is the better comparison. So much US history revolves around racial authoritarianism and the current moment is no exception 1/x

Maybe educated activists could volunteer to do staff work for our Congress members @reptedlieu.bsky.social @aoc.bsky.social @schiff.senate.gov ? If lack of staff is an issue there are thousands of people with skills, experience, and motivation.
Liberal democracy is good for business. If we were still a liberal democracy, Congress would not be beholden to a Mad King and have shut down this trade war nonsense before it got off the ground. We won't fix our economic problems until we address our democracy problems 1/x

Every member of Congress who didn’t sign this letter is all-in on fascism. And that includes *a lot* of Dems, notably the ‘leadership.’
