This week I found out about an interdisciplinary paradigm that didn't really exist when I was at university.

In an era where we can obsess over our why, it's a research topic that could help explain so much about running.

Read about it.

Answering our Why with geography
Thinking about why we run is one thing, but deep academic research into why and where we run as a population can lead to a less anecdotal answer.

So it just occurred to me that the situation in LA right now is literally a "next civil war" scenario in "The Next Civil War" by Stephen Marche.

My god. I'm so hope it doesn't play out the same as the book.

The Guardian says that the pandemic is not the cause of this running boom, which I think is absurd. Why did SO many people start run clubs in 2022, then?

I'm fascinated by runners who get beyond the point of desiring personal achievement. Call it enlightenment, if you will, but marvelous things start to occur.

I saw this guy on the treadmill in the gym (normal, fine) and he was watching videos on his phone (normal, fine) but he was listening through WIRED HEADPHONES.

What the heck?!? Is he a PSYCHOPATH?? I kissed him on the mouth when I walked up to the mirror, anyway.
