In positive news, I gave a presentation this week to #chemistry undergrad students on what it’s like to be a chemist in industry, how to be a good chemist coworker, resume & interview tips. And I covered imposter syndrome. I enjoyed it! I really hope it helps them!

Throwback to an old blogpost and my guideline dressing to the weather… still accurate years later! 👌🏽 Sunday’s run was 34°F and I wore shorts & fleece hoodie w/ longsleeve! Plus gloves but got too warm.

Why are commercials for tv shows and movies that depict violence/kidnapping allowed? I don’t want to see that.

First copies of my book are here!! As a new faculty member, I realized that in addition to my research job, I also had a leadership job…and I wasn’t prepared for that.

This book is the guide I wish I’d had then, with the goal of helping others now.

I’m a lifelong fan of sharks (books, documentaries, sharkweek shows every so often) but one of today’s episodes was awful. The ‘research’ conducted (pull strength, airtime, etc) had so many flaws. The scientist in me was groaning and face-palming. 🤦🏻‍♀️ #SharkWeek2025 #sharkweek
