OF COURSE, nobody likes type systems which only laugh at you when you fuck up. Even if it's useful. That's just normal big ego fuckwit behaviour.

But THIS CENTURY, type systems key into computational structure, not just data representation, and they silently generate boilerplate code.

This somehow reminds me of the "Yahoo trying to buy Google" saga.
I'm not clued up enough about Intel to know how true it is that its top brass lost their tech/engineering nous and focused too much on finance/MBA brain. But it seems worth mentioning that they just weren't very good at the latter either.
This is quite the roll call of strategic failure from Intel.
