An underappreciated aspect of this insanity is that the ICE/Border Patrol hiring spree is recruiting HEAVILY from prisons and jails. I’ve been working in prison reform for 20 years, and I’ll tell you the smartest thing I ever heard: culture eats policy for breakfast. This cannot be reformed.
