Very happy to see the last and my favourite article of the PhD out in @funecology.bsky.social! We show how an invasive moth can alter plant-frugivore interactions in the Mediterranean dwarf palm🦋🏝️🍒🐐

Spotless starling (Sturnus unicolor) released after being tagged with a GPS transmitter. We are studying the movements of these open-habitat frugivores to better understand their role as seed dispersers in anthropogenic landscapes.

Pollinator‐Promoting Interventions in European Urban Habitats—A Synthesis
Syntheses of urban pollinator-friendly management are lacking, hindering policy implementation compared to farmland. Addressing this gap, our re-analytical data synthesis demonstrates the generally p...

🌱 New paper out!
In Teide National Park (Tenerife), ~69% of seed dispersal interactions have been lost after centuries of human impact.🐦‍⬛🫐
But there’s hope: 90% of those interactions involve extant species, making ecological restoration an achievable long-term goal!

Pollinator benefits of small-scale landscapes depend also on semi-natural habitat 🐝🌏

Supports the need to restore and maintain semi-natural habitats and to enhance floral resources. This is especially effective in small-scale agricultural landscapes 🌻🧪

Water‐saving strategies in rice farming entail cascading effects in prey–predator interactions across ecosystem boundaries
These results show that introducing multiple drainage periods in rice fields (i.e. AWD) indirectly hampers terrestrial spider reproduction through limiting the emergence of potential preys from the a...
