Honest the gawd, this is the very definition of insanity right here.
Trump: "I want the money to go into an account for people where they buy their own health insurance. It's so good. The insurance will be better. It'll cost less. Everybody is gonna be happy. They're gonna feel like entrepreneurs. They're actually able to go out & negotiate their own insurance"

Facts. Funny thing about them. They're the truth.
“The worst view of current economic conditions since 1951… 61% blame Trump… 79% of independents have a negative view of Trump’s economic policies… if these numbers hold Republicans can wave adios to the house, and maybe the senate…”

The problem is partially about the choices offered, but mostly about the misinformation and mal-information allowed to spread among the vulnerable, naive and less inquisitive of our citizens. Had voters supported the truthsayers instead of the snake oil salesmen, we wouldn't be where we are today.
Truly.

It's possible that we're entering a time of post-party politics. When I think of the history of political parties, it seems to me that both the DNC and RNC have had long runs. But the former is incompetent to oppose authoritarianism, and the latter is openly colluding with it.

The President wouldn't last five minutes as an air traffic controller, and after everything they've been through - and the way this administration has treated them from Day One - he has no business shitting on them now.

And on and on it goes, "without providing evidence". This is what despotic authoritarian leaders do. I just never thought I'd see one leading the USA in my lifetime.
The U.S. military killed six people on Sunday in two more strikes on boats suspected of smuggling drugs in the eastern Pacific Ocean, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said, without providing evidence. The strikes raised the death toll in the campaign to 76 people.

The latest strikes raised the death toll in the campaign to 76 people in 19 attacks in the Pacific and the Caribbean Sea since early September.

Gotta love the shekels for the poor 2K giveaway bit. Who TF does he think is swallowing this bilious bile of bats**t buffoonery?
Trump’s approval rating drops to a dismal 37%.

Tell them they spelled Tucson incorrectly.
By blocking the swearing-in, of Adelita Grijalva, Johnson may be preventing a critical vote from being cast (on the Epstein files or other agenda items).

This kind of procedural obstruction reflects a broader theme of democratic erosion by the Republicans.👇

Leaked footage of an auction of a $64,000 Thai beach vacation being held at the recent Gatsby Party at Mar-a-Lago on Halloween have been circulating online. Does anyone know which organization benefited from those dollars? My initial understanding was that the event was purely a private affair.

I'm all for getting people their SNAP benefits. But, to me, the bigger issue is why, in the world's wealthiest country, are 12% of its residents needing government assistance to put food on the table, and how can we fix it.
The Trump admin fucking up state administrative capacity to provide SNAP benefits is not just a feature of the shutdown. This is their long-term plan to reduce SNAP.

Soon, GOP will start talking block grants due to administrative complexity they created.

There's never a strategy, a well thought-out plan. It's all bombast and bulls**t, spit wad policy (whatever sticks), a grand gesture from the great leader that solves nothing.
BREAKING: Trump says that Every American, who isn't a High Income earner, will get $2000 in Cash.

In other words he wants to issue a stimulus check because the economy is sucking.

In other words he wants to increase our deficit by $650 BILLION.

That's been the simpleminded POV of Republicans my whole life. Everything is black or white to them. Good or bad. Right or wrong. Biblical or heretical. These are not thought-based, intellectually curious human beings. Never have been.
Expanding awareness of the human experience must be stopped immediately because conservatives don’t like counting past two.
Zeldin: "Conservatives say there are two genders. Democrats are saying there are a hundred genders and counting and growing."

Not a fan of wither of two guys, but Duffy has this icky real estate agent specializing in repo's type of aura to him that's off-putting as hell. MAGAts can say what they want, but at least Pete Buttigieg was competent.
"This will live on" -- Duffy explains that flying will remain a mess even after the shutdown because so many air traffic controllers are retiring

Agree completely.
So the one to 25,000 bad apples in the NYPD are "self-deporting?" What a great way to weed out the most prejudiced assholes. Congratulations, New York City!

At this point, he doesn't care. He's dictator for life and is acting like it. He will continue to carry out the MAGA agenda. There's no down side when you've rigged the system.
I’ve long thought Trump is good at picking fights that benefit him politically but the fact he’s fighting right now to starve Americans is making me reassess

As I've often said, it will be the artists, performers and creatives who get us through this period of national instability and chaos. So thrilled to see all the diverse and gifted performers presented in this year's Grammy nods.
Congrats to all.

I may never understand how a guy like Nick Fuentes, partially of Mexican heritage, can be so filled with rage and hatred toward non-whites, non-Christians and others of diverse lifestyles and background. And why is someone filled with such hubris and bile a role model for young American men?
