UC Berkeley gives the Trump admin the names of 160 faculty + students for a federal investigation into “alleged antisemitic incidents.”

Judith Butler, one of the targeted scholars, tells me: "It is an enormous breach of trust... It's shocking. Did you consider not complying with this request?”

It strikes me as odd that Akiva Goldsman wants to essentially redo TOS with Year One when there is technically an entire 2nd 5-year-mission offscreen between TMP & WoK. Not sure I’d want that either but I’d be MORE interested. The uniforms alone! And if they did it, the should def call it Phase II.

If you wanted to cut waste, fraud, and abuse, you would empower the inspectors general.

If you wanted more waste, fraud, and abuse, you would fire them.

Maus author Art Spiegelman’s next comic will be about Gaza, in collaboration with Joe Sacco. He thinks he will struggle to find a publisher in the United States.

“I’ll finish this thing or die trying.”
Art Spiegelman Won’t Shrink Back From Controversy
The artist has illustrated more than one contentious New Yorker cover in his career, chronicled in a new film, and his next project will be no less gutsy.

This afternoon, I found this little puffball sitting on a branch looking for berries in the bitter cold. It made the run to the Co-op/grocer worth it. We were, I guess, both foraging.

Bacon, who passed away last year, was one of the kindest creatures that I have ever met. My friends raised him right and he did right by them. He loved them. His eyes sparkled with a keen intelligence. Despite being all muscle he was gentler than a mouse. He was a sweet puppy.

Sorry for the repost. Typos in the original. Could not find the edit button. Roadie, my partner's service dog, waits patiently as they run a quick errand. Roadie has three legs and giant heart. He was abandoned as a pup and was a hit and run victim. He fought his way back to active service.

Hi, new people!

This isn't Twitter/ X /whatever.

Here has a more respectful culture overall, and those of us who've been here a minute would like to continue to keep our cortisol levels down.

*don't be a jerk in mentions
*don't put people on blast
*mute, block, move on
*have a nice day!
