Trump’s efforts to gut the federal workforce should be understood as part of the broader Republican project to make public services shitty so people will hate and resent the government. For other examples, see most red states. Republicans do not want a government that actually works for people.

Something I’ve stressed in talks and interviews since the election is that we will not have restored the peaceful transfer of power in the U.S. until a Republican president willingly hands power to a Democratic president.

Why I voted Trump for the first time:

*eggs, I don't like trans people, woke democrats, lawfare, eggs, and businessman*

1) We know that's not your first Trump vote.

2) Ain't got nothing to do with eggs either

North Carolina Republicans just took the final vote on this massive power-grab, muscling it through the House over the governor's veto. That's the ballgame. A HUGE change in how the state government operates, giving Republicans much, much more power. andersonalerts.substack.com/p/sb-382-fin...

The GOP is apparently planning on passing a reconciliation package with as much as $120 BILLION in border-related funding.

To put that in context, if you add up ever single Border Patrol budget from 1990 through 2024, adjusted for inflation, it's $121 billion. That's THIRTY-FOUR YEARS of funding.

gonna keep hammering this: there is no one database that:

-is easily accessed by a street level bureaceat

-has every or even most US citizens

-is at all verifiable with pictures and/or biometrics

It does not exist. American citizens *are* going go to get swept up in this and deported or killed.
they are going for it with mass deportation and i am extremely scared of what it’s gonna look like

Median net worth of an American 35-44 is $135,600. Elon Musk spent $250M to elect Donald Trump President. At .07% of his net worth (~$348B) that's like a typical American spending $97.
Ninety-seven dollars.

The final House results have now landed as 220-215 for the GOP. That means the House majority came down to the 3 NC seats the GOP flipped thanks to its brand new gerrymander.

And that gerrymander hinged on NC's supreme court flipping in 2022.
