3 years ago today, Riot Games offered me a job making more money than I ever thought I’d make in my life. I had 19 interviews over 2.5 months to get it. Partner and I were moving to LA for it. I put in notice at my job and apartment.
2 weeks later they rescinded the offer due to “headcount issues”.

I recently read somewhere "Don't torture yourself with your thoughts, it's a horrible way to live." and I think that really resonated with me as somebody who gets trapped in anxious thought spirals. I am learning to be kinder to myself, it takes practice. Maybe you could also use a reminder ❤️

I honestly still feel bad asking for any financial help. Even though I’m glad I have a job, it’s been extra rough since my work week was shortened from 3 days to 2. And looking for another job has been really rough. And I worry that I’ll come off pitiful for asking for financial help

At this point I feel like if I want to achieve anything in life, I need to actually MAKE opportunities for myself. I can't just stand here doing nothing while having so many ideas and projects stuck in my head for the rest of my life. Plus people actually want to see my stuff and I can’t ignore that
