Despite a 16% jump in nitrates levels in Irish rivers in the last year alone, it's looking like the derogation (special dispensation to pollute more) will *still* be extended by another 3 years.
Help farmers financially if needs be, but killing our rivers is just WRONG.

Nitrates derogation could be extended by three years after proposal backed by European Commission
Too much nitrogen in a river can lead to an over-growth of algae, which causes damage to, and can even kill, wildlife and plants.

Think there are going to be a *lot* of texts in about this advice re children at back of class during religion class and sacrament prep. It goes way beyond “maybe they can draw pictures of stuff they don’t believe in to feel included” and misses the mark entirely to suggest that’s the solution.

There is no good reason for peaceful protest about an IPAS centre outside that centre. There are no decision makers in there.
Protest peacefully at your local TDs office, or the Dáil. Protesting outside *anyone’s* home is only ever intended to intimidate, which in turn is never a peaceful act.
