Be furious be angry but despondency is what they want from us. And be very suspicious of people on the left who say “we are cooked” or whatever. Imagine the civil rights movement, or suffrage, or any movement for change, hitting a roadblock and just “saying well we are well and truly fucked now.”

If all you're doing is prompting, you're not doing anything. You're shitting in your hand and hoping the machine spins it into gold.

It won't.

And you won't be an Artist.

If you want to be an Artist, you have to do The Work.

This devastation is not the fault of the people of Appalachia making the poor life choice to live there. You want to believe that because it makes you feel safe but you are just as vulnerable to climate change and devastation.
