🧐 Monoradical or diradical — that is the question!

🧩 In our new ChemRxiv preprint, we look underneath the cascades of reactive carbon π-radicals that can host more than one unpaired electron.

VINEGAR CHIPS – You either love them or hate them. But do you know what they have in common with heating pads?

👉 In this video, we show how the same chemical that gives vinegar chips their tangy FLAVOR can also create HEAT just by turning into crystals! 💎🔥

🔬 Check out the 2025 #NobelPrize in Chemistry!

This year’s award goes to Susumu Kitagawa, Richard Robson, and Omar M. Yaghi for their pioneering work on metal–organic frameworks (#MOFs), highly porous materials that can capture CO₂, store gases, and even pull water from the air!

Yesterday, the UCT of Prague opened its gates for the Science Night.
An opportunity for our group to once more link our research topics with the needs and the interests of the society, and to communicate it to the large public, adults but also children.

Playing a game that I've already seen on kickstarter with academics colleagues.

It's called Publish of perish.

And yes, it's game. Here at least.

Very funny tho. The game I mean.

One old professor : "how did you measure the leaching of the Pt catalyst ?"
Ph.D : "well we cool down the..."
Professor: "ok stop stop. It's wrong. It's a big big mistake. Thanks."

In all conferences, there is this old professor falling asleep when you talk and then wake up for the question time and ask you if you considered this obscure paper from a group of 3 people in Siberia, written in 1867 and published a rainy Thursday.

I still would like to thank the DB driver on the line Neustadt-Nurnberg, the guy helped me when I took the wrong train and went in some lost place lmao
July 18, 2025 at 8:12 PM
After very literally 1 day in the DB trains, I had the time to read enough handbooks of Quantum mechanics to understand the secret of the matter.

I decided to start a second PhD in the original physic, in parallel to my current one.

Thanks DB 🔥
