Gay mid-30s FtM. Originally intended to be a kink blog but we live in interesting times. Can't even be weird on the Internet in peace.

Disabled and queer. Overthinking everything and caring too much even about people who see me as subhuman.

A jumble of contradictions too tall an order for my body. Despite the username, this is my main. I have to break myself into so many little pieces to survive irl. "Too much to handle." Online I can be a whole, overly complicated person without being a burden. Striving for ahimsa.
Speaking of kinks: if your sexuality makes you uncomfortable or you have trouble with intrusive thoughts, Sex Therapists specialize in that and they are the definition of "they've seen worse". They help people work out their inner conflicts and learn practical coping skills.

3/ Sex and kinks are not inherently abusive/unsafe. But abusive people are always willing to use a scapegoat as an excuse for their own shitty behavior

Remember that.

2/ The next time you see someone claiming that sex is evil or that kinks are immoral/unsafe/exploitative, I really, REALLY want you to question whether or not that person actually understands the difference between CONSENSUALLY engaging in activities w/ others vs ABUSING people through manipulation

1/ Sex is about consent. Kink is about consent. You can SAFELY do WHATEVER kind of crazy shit you can imagine so long as everyone involved is a CONSENTING, RESPONSIBLE ADULT

And, that stands in such stark contrast to those in power who are so WILLINGLY DEVOID OF MORALS that they've abused kids

I guess I'm mostly just talking into the void here, but maybe it'll be useful to people after

You are a brave person, Alec. And not how people tell me I am just for surviving ACEs, but *real* bravery to call out bad actors and be straightforward w/ your criticism and your plans. It shouldn't be controversial that a government has a duty to care for its people.
That must be an incredible rush of validation. Sorely needed. I'm impatiently waiting until I get off work to watch it, as I already know it deserves my full attention and energy. (A few min checking bsky is shorter than the video :p)

@techconnectify.bsky.social pardon the interruption to your day. I thought perhaps you could use a brief break from... everything. I know you have more important things to do, but I had recently gone there and thought about the Aztec pinball videos.

Look, it's been hard for me to figure out how to talk about the difference between healthy masculinity and bullshit, weak, fear-based control fantasies, but BOY HAS THIS WEEK MADE EVERYTHING MORE CLEAR.

As a 3D printer nerd....😈
bro whistles are the NICE option. do you really want to challenge 1,000 nerds with 3D printers to invent something louder and more annoying???

@techconnectify.bsky.social do you have a favorite at Galloping Ghost Arcade? Pinball and/or video arcade cabinet. If you haven't been, it's like a living museum w 1k+ games in original and custom hardware! It's a labyrinth to lose yourself in for a time to reset.

one of the things that makes me most mad about genAI (and there are many) is we've been told there's not enough money for hiring. but there's billions poured into ai.

so not enough money to hire workers. but infinite money to pour into technology whose goal is never having to pay workers again.

@presspleasure.bsky.social odd question, but you seem to have a good handle on making bluesky behave w/ multi part threads. How? I want to learn from the people I see doing it best. Also, I was going to reblog something you posted but the UI is almost as bad as twitter. (Couldn't DM)

So much for being a company that embraces diversity. You can't do that in good faith, and have a world-wide broadcast call with Musk in a live keynote.

What the actual fuck. Attending a conference for a tech giant I won't name, and they're platforming a known Nazi. I wish I was there in person rather than remote so I can get in the way of things a la sit-in as protest.

I don't know how much longer I can be functional. The reason I wanted to flee the country or being alive is so I wouldn't have to live through this.

I've suffered enough. Let me rest.

That was a short reprieve. I even reread the guide to sabotage but it's not applicable. We're not occupied by a foreign power and having our manufacturing turned against us. Sabotage would directly hurt innocent people. There's not a lot I can do. I'm not in a position to effect bad actors anyway.

A reprieve 🥹 Stay vigilant, all. Don't fall for hateful rhetoric - trans people are people. We deserve equal access to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Any effort to bar us from full participation in public life is a violation of our most basic rights.

BREAKING: The Senate declined to advance a bill that would exclude transgender student athletes from playing on sports teams that align with their gender identity.

All young people deserve the freedom to be themselves on and off the field.

ok, cis folks—if you said you'd stand with trans folks, it's time.

S.9 is the senate's sports ban bill—a big step to making trump’s executive order a federal law, which is much harder to undo. it can be stopped *monday.*

short call scripts for dem & GOP senators ⬇️🧵

legiscan.com/US/bill/SB9/...
a cloture vote for the way-harder-to-undo-than-an-executive-order federal anti-trans sports ban is now set for monday. that means there's more time to make calls.

no on cloture means it doesn't get a vote. the GOP needs 7 dems to advance it.

please call. there is *so* much evil downstream of this.

if your senator's a democrat, try the script below. it’s got a bail out written in. ad lib a bit! you’ll get an intern. be polite.

no dem cosponsors so far. but dems cast cowardly votes & need to know it won't hurt them to stand with trans people. (see ⬇️)🧵

"why is a sports ban so bad? isn’t this is only going to ban a few dozen people?"

if you're actually asking, i'd invite you to explore this article by @katelynburns.com.

"the goal of targeting trans women’s participation in sports is to create a federal law that declares trans women are men."🧵
Opinion | The oppressive goal at the top of Speaker Mike Johnson’s to-do list
Making Democrats look bad by defending trans women — or look bad by not defending trans women — isn’t Republicans’ end goal here.
