Sorry correction: ACT has no link to the liberals I’m aware off, though funnily enough they are an offshoot of NZ labour, which in turn is *not* as far as I can tell related to UK labour since they developed in parallel, unlike the NZ liberals which were directly inspired by their UK counterpart
My favourite bit of international anglo-political trivia is none of the parties currently in government in New Zealand can trace their lineage back to the Conservative Party, but all three of them can trace it back to the liberals
