Well now I'm craving chili, and something something, price of beef, chili privilege, etc.

I stopped rating things online when it started to become clear that no one could agree on what the ratings even meant. Is 5/5: Good, Great, Exceeds Expectations, the GOAT, or just because we're afraid to have the stans freak out at us for liking, but not loving something?

Not penultimate, but the first time a flashback episode undercut the momentum so much that it's sourness stuck in my brain was when Lost killed off 3 major characters (of colour), then spent the next week telling us the whole history of the 2 white guys fighting over the island.

She said that there wasn't enough for the indigenous population in the budget, so she couldn't vote yes, but there was a major project for her specific riding, so she couldn't vote no. Hence abstaining.

It really does feel like we're going to be looking at abstentions being the thing that makes the difference

None of the opposing parties are in any shape for an election, and Canadians aren't in the mood. I'd be surprised if they'd risk it.

Voters might give Carney the majority just to spite the dissenters.

The show had a lot of other problems, but the fact that She-Hulk producers decided to open with the origin story instead of flashing back in the second-last episode where it was originally in the run, was so refreshing.

THANK YOU
I basically go into every new show that has a "mystery" assuming everything will be answered in the second-last episode, which isn't just a boring cliche now, but also makes me less interested in watching the show at all.

Because I LIKE ambiguity!

When I first heard about this, I was gobsmacked. Like... There is merit to the idea that kids can be encouraged to read this way and even learn how to tease out context more naturally than with old school phonics.

But you don't just...stop teaching the phonics! Why not both?

I'm not an easy crier, but I BAWL happy tears when they're reunited at the end. Every. Single. Time.

I also hear a lot of the DST people complain about standard meaning 4am sunrises in June/July and like...so? Blackout curtains exist and whole northern cultures have figured out how to live when the sun doesn't set at all for parts of the year.

I don't even think he's technically lying here. Many GOP believe that Medicaid itself is a "waste" and thus, cutting funding is "reducing waste" and if there isn't funding, there's no money with which to abuse or defraud.

They don't even consider the people affected worth thinking about. :(

Anecdotally, it seems that Canada telepathically agreed that everyone would trick or treat early so people could watch baseball...

I love that we have one politician willing to keep poking the bear. I continue to be very annoyed that it's HIM and that he succeeded in using the sentiment to get another 4 years.

Fair. I saw the movie first, but it was an awakening to a love of gothic, queer camp as a genre for preteen me, so it's got a nostalgic glow that's hard to separate from the movie itself.

I've read/watched much better examples since.

I may have been weird about Interview with a Vampire at one point in my life, but now I have the TV series to latch my entire personality onto.

And while I do think TC is a surprisingly good Lestat, Sam Reid is the GOAT.

Every technological advance capitalism has pushed has promised us more "free time" and failed to deliver.

But AI feels worse, because it's ruining the stuff we like to do in our free time! Reading, writing, art, etc...
