Whoever made this Andor reference happen on Jeopardy last night, even though none of the answers were related to the show: I see you and I appreciate you.

Basil would like to report a crime. His human put him in the big tub that he can't jump out of and cleaned him. Even his butt is wet.

His human would like him to understand that by wiping his dirty butt on her rug, he asked for this.

Probably the last outdoor urban sketching meetup for the year. It was getting quite chilly, but Halloween in the Village was a fun event to capture.

Needed to get out of the house and touch grass, so I painted the waterfall at Rock Glen today.

Almost 2 years ago, while preparing the wet basement for water proofing, I found this old portrait of me done in NYC in a very water-damaged frame.

I finally got up the courage to pry the frame apart, and it's OKAY.

Do these guys make things like spontaneous evening plans, overnight trips, and enjoying pizza in peace a trial sometimes? Yup.

But the house feels wrong without them under my feet. 🥰

People are all "Pumpkin Spice Season!", but forget that. It's cranberry ginger ale season. Ah yisssss.

Dogs had a grooming appointment, so instead of going home to be lazy for a couple hours, I went to get a coffee and did some urban sketching.

A few from my London trip that I still have in my "to be sketched" folder.

A slow drain has turned into a saga of 2 different plumbing companies and now the city is involved, my driveway is in shambles, and the apple tree will need to be cut down.

I have decided that I don't care any more. I'm going to England in a week and this shit will hopefully be solved without me.

Finally settled on my Urban Sketching kit for my trip to London, UK. Going to focus on watercolours, ink, and NeoColor IIs.

All fit into a small Delfonics pouch that will fit in my regular purse!

Rainy day for urban sketching, so I parked myself at a library window. Thankfully, by the time I was adding colour, the sun was peeking OUT.

I have some questions for whoever trimmed this door when the carpet was first installed. Did they measure at all? Have they heard of a ruler?

One day, I'd like to strip and restore these doors, so I guess I'll deal with this then too.

Me: OK. The only carpet left to tear out is in the closet. I'll just move the boxes out of there and yank it. It'll only take a few minutes and then I can cross this step off the list!

The Universe: Hey, remember those mice you evicted last year?

I was bummed that I couldn't fit more than my queen bed and dresser in the smaller bedroom, but look at this ADORABLE antique telephone table I found to pop into the one empty corner.

Finally got up the energy to start tearing out the grungy carpet in my bedroom and even though I knew what was coming, seeing the lead painted original wood still hurt so very much.

When in Canada, winter Urban Sketching has to be inside. Malls are perfect for it.

Basil says hi, but you're not allowed in the car.

Urban Sketching was at a cemetery this month with perfect fall weather. I started off on the wrong foot and had to give up on things like perspective, but I like the results anyway. I quite like how the orange tree in the back turned out and will try to replicate the technique again.

I have been using this paper towel to clean up after filling my fountain pens for 10 years now. Here's to another 10.

Don't let anyone use the spectre of "potential buyers" stop you from making YOUR house exactly the way you want it. I spent the summer painting my staircase the pinkest pink and I regret nothing.

Wesley would stock a selection of bespoke plush toys, but inventory would inevitably dwindle during the winter as he continued to leave items outside to be buried in the snow.

Went out back to see why Wesley wouldn't come when called.

Apparently, this fledgling failed flight school.

This morning, I've googled a couple of things mentioned on podcasts. The first search completely nerfed the second one. (Especially annoying since the article headline is long and autofill could have saved keystrokes.)

Like WTAF?

The trials of a coned doggo. He's fine, but won't leave a scratch on his leg alone long enough for it to heal.
