i see similar complaints about mafuyu when an event is kanamafu centric and it's so scary to me that so many people see vulnerable teenage girls like mizuki and mafuyu at their worst moment and think they haven't "earned" help bc they think they're a burden and see relationships as transactional

it seems the fandom attitude has shifted from "seeing mizuki as a 'binary' trans girl is erasing nonbinary rep" to "mizuki is a trans girl but its good to third gender her to be outside the binary" which isnt really much better
so when people (incorrectly) decide mizuki is nonspecific nonbinary using anything other than they/them is erasure, but now that its beyond clear she is transfeminine and a trans girl, pronouns dont equal gender actually.
