The BBC (and others) have let the Conservatives blame Labour for being irresponsible with national finances in the wake of the 2008 banking crash for 17 years but Labour blaming the Conservatives less than a year on from the general election is newsworthy apparently.

Chris Mason: Labour is still blaming the Conservatives
A year on from the election, the government needs to demonstrate delivery to claw back some popularity.

Or in other words, discrimination.
How much of a difference, if any, do you think people's accents can have on how they are treated and the opportunities they have in the UK?

Great deal: 19%
Fair amount: 49%
Not very much: 19%
None at all: 4%

Classic example of how out of touch journalists and people are with corporate Britain.

This is an everyday occurrence, one which I’m sure even the journalist of this piece will have benefited from.

Either you go after all corporate hospitality or none of it.

The half way house is unseemly.
There is no suggestion ‘Busy Woman’ Reeves has broken any rules – and is expected to follow ‘Good Graces’ and declare the gift. However, it threatens to reignite the row over the ‘Taste’ of ministers receiving free hospitality

Current media reporting on the economy really does encourage short termism.

Not everything should be disaster, disaster, disaster.

Small changes should be reported as such.

If people want public sector jobs (nurses, junior doctors, firefighters) to get paid more, they have to accept higher rates of tax, at all levels.

Can’t keep asking government for inflation-linked (or greater) pay rises, without understanding the money has to come from somewhere.

Imagine this: On the evening of March 8, you and your spouse unlock the door to your apartment building. As you step inside, two men—not in uniform—push their way in behind you. They tell you your visa has been revoked and that they are there to deport you.

Following years of stagnant wages, which still hasn't seen the average wage return to pre-2009 levels, this is welcome news. Don't pay attention to those that say otherwise.

The Welsh told the Saxons this hill was called "pen" (meaning "hill"). The Saxons added their word for hill, "tor," and called it Torpen (hill hill).

Later the Norse added their world for hill. So it became Torpen Haugr (Hill Hill Hill).

Now the English call it Torpenhow Hill (Hill Hill Hill Hill)

A week ago I was being told to apologize for saying Trump would be worse for Gaza because he faked a temporary pause/pretend ceasefire to coincide with his inauguration.

Now he’s just openly endorsing/encouraging ethnic cleansing.
On Air Force One from Las Vegas to Miami, President Trump says Palestinians in Gaza should be relocated.

“I’d like Egypt to take people. I’d like Jordan to take people,” he tells reporters.”We just clean out that whole thing.”
