This absolute focus on very minor changes in the economy being read as feast or famine, drives short term behaviour.
For all intents and purposes the economy is flat, and that is what it should be reported as.
Media have a role to play in helping people understand and shouldn’t focus on alarmism.

I think it’s all to do with that. And rather than reduce rates, and accept lower profits, they are instead complaining to government to get to people back into the office.
