Where did the expression, "Miranda Rights" come from? In 1963, an 18 yr old woman was kidnapped and raped in AZ. Ernesto Miranda was arrested and confessed without being told he had the right to remain silent. The Supreme Court voided the conviction but he stayed in jail due to another conviction.
