I don’t think everyone is so aware of those dynamics. It’s baby steps, barely noticeable, until it is too late. If you know about history you will notice. 80 years seems like a short period in history, but long enough to forget important lessons.

Recent years have been surreal. I was born in 1985 and everything bad seemed to be just from the history books. With the pandemic and current political and geopolitical climate it feels like I am living “history”.

It’s a common sentiment about nature legislation here as well. “Is housing for bats (replace with any other protected species) more important than houses for humans”?

Satanic Leaf-tailed Geckos are sexually dimorphic in that males typically have a tail that resembles a leaf that has been predated on by insects more so than females who typically have a tail resembling a fresh leaf. [2/3]

Haha, yeah, that would be a good reason to retire! 😂 I probably have only a handful of images from that era that I still like. Others are just good memories. 😅
