Somehow, even with deadlines & such, it is ~100% certain this is not how the Paper of Record would cover the TN-7 election result if it were the reverse in a D+22 district 🧐🤔

Our new research shows many of The Home Depot’s top suppliers are still using PVC in their packaging. Seriously?!

#PVC doesn’t make our homes better; it threatens our health, safety, and the environment. 🌎 The Home Depot can and must do more to phase it out of all packaging on store shelves.

Excellent creative tactic!
In Monrovia, California, protesters are purchasing 17¢ ICE scrapers from Home Depot and immediately returning them to create long lines and slow down the entire store. Their aim is to disrupt sales and convey a message opposing ICE raids occurring in their neighborhood.

Oh hello North Korea. These people do know it’s a week before a major fall travel holiday and that the entire fashion industry is putting out sleepwear as aviation wear this year, right? Guess they have strong feelings about how we plebes look.

Democrats will focus on the House and Senate, but to me, the state legislatures are equally important. Democrats lost an entire generation of new leaders when they got wiped out in the state legislatures in 2010 and again in 2014. The Democrats need to build the next generation in the state leg. 1/3

That may be a factor of an enthusiasm gap mixed with a serving of outlier, but also it’s not a shocker in light of the sheer extent of Democrats’ sweeping wins in November.

The value of reading history is you know that in 1860 there were abolitionists who were so demoralized that they thought chattel slavery would be permanent. 5 years later those still alive had lived to see its end.

i think this is key. taking the deal would amount to taking the blame. it would turn a clear political victory into an unambiguous defeat.
If the Dems blink after all of this, for a deal that all but ensures no ACA subsidies in 2026 anyway, then what was the purpose of letting the shutdown go for 40 days in the first place?
