Thanks, A.C.! Here's my eligibility post to add. I've enjoyed clicking around the omnibus.

had a Jude Law year, where a lot of stuff I wrote over the course of 15 years came out all at once

I would be honored to be considered for awards, especially for my first novel; a nomination would bring eyes to a book I'm proud of, from a *tiny* press with no marketing budget

oh, and if you want review copies of any of this, DM me or email romiesays@gmail.com; most of it is readable online, but the BFS Horizons stuff isn't.

Relatedly, I don't know who this anonymous Amazon reviewer is, but the line "I now know how a fly feels when it gets eaten by a chameleon" is outstanding poetry. Anonymous reviewer, please submit some poems to Strange Horizons if you're not already doing that.

minor autobiographical fact is that my kid sister and I constantly pretended we were in Jurassic Park, but in our AU:
(1) there was a velociraptor who just wanted to sing opera
(2) he wore a curly blond wig as a disguise
(3) Lando would hang out with him

For me, it's probably my poem 'To Be the Change', which was released this spring from @strangehorizons.bsky.social! This was my first explicitly trans piece to enter the world; it tackles familial expectations and ancestral prophecies through a fantasy lens.

I think they might both be Aladdin (throwing a parade wait no I'm hiding in a barrel because a person walked nearby; clawing this carpet; I demand you fix my problems, Genie)
