Such a step being taken this way would be concerning enough, given what it actually is, but, given that Trump sees “Antifa” hiding in every corner of opposition, this could be an extremely alarming escalation.

In practical terms, we don’t have federal elections. We have nationally coordinated state elections for federal office. He’s trying to break elections so he doesn’t leave the WH on his feet.
