Robbie Avila missed practice today for SLU, the latest player to come down with whatever's been making the rounds of the team. Schertz optimistic that he'll be feeling better by Tuesday when SLU plays Davidson, but also making plans in case he isn't.

George Mason trailed pretty much the entire game but thanks to some bad free throw shooting by St. Bonaventure pulled ahead with about 30 seconds to go as Mason closed with a 17-4 run to win 77-73.

George Washington, playing without an injured Rafael Castro, falls to Fordham 79-65. Fourth place in the A-10 is going to be really up for grabs. Right now, it's St. Joseph's, which will be 6-3 assuming it doesn't play a 16-point lead over La Salle

If I'm not mistaken, SLU's projected record at kenpom.com was 28-3 and 16-2, but now it's up to 29-2 and 17-1, with a 23.3% chance of an unbeaten A-10 record. The back half of SLU's A-10 schedule, with road games at Mason, Dayton, Rhode Island and Davidson, will be challenging
