Here are the potentially contentious points in the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance's definition of antisemitism, which even the lead drafter of the definition Kenneth Stern now agrees has been weaponised as a tool against free speech and now rejects it's use as a tool for regulation
• Accusing Jewish citizens of being more loyal to Israel, or to the alleged priorities of Jews worldwide, than to the interests of their own nations. • Denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination, e.g., by claiming that the existence of a State of Israel is a racist endeavor. • Applying double standards by requiring of it a behavior not expected or demanded of any other democratic nation. • Using the symbols and images associated with classic antisemitism (e.g., claims of Jews killing Jesus or blood libel) to characterize Israel or Israelis. • Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis. • Holding Jews collectively responsible for actions of the state of Israel

And what about the mainstream right party in opposition? Are they trying to politicise the issue and impede the government from passing further gun reforms? No, they're saying they'll do what it takes to help the government prevent this happening in the future.
"Whatever needs to happen, the opposition will back in the government to make sure it doesn't happen again," Shadow Home Affairs Minister Jonno Duniam said on Monday. "It is unacceptable that it has come to this, and leadership needs to be shown now. We can't wait another day."

Oh wow, it's somehow even worse than that? Fully just scraping all your family history, along with your phone numbers for the last 5 years and also last 10 years of email addresses. Can't imagine this being good for places like Florida that rely heavily on tourist spend fir their economy.
In a notice published on Tuesday, the US Customs and Border Protection agency (CBP) said it would also require any telephone numbers used by visitors over the same period, and any email addresses used in the last decade, as well as face, fingerprint, DNA and iris biometrics. It would also ask for the names, addresses, birthdates and birthplaces of family members, including children.

Every platform struggles with the same problem-how do you let everyone speak without letting lies drown out truth? Traditional fact-checking is too slow. Content moderation feels like censorship. Algorithms amplify outrage because that's what drives engagement. But what if there was a third way? What if Al could understand context-not just what you say, but whether you mean it? What if it could learn patterns, cross-reference claims in real-time, and let YOU decide what level of verification you want to see? VWhat if the system didn't delete anything, but simply refused to amplify misinformation? Or you could ask your feed to only show verified posts and info? Transparency without censorship. Trust without control. Freedom of speech, not freedom of reach. That's not hypothetical anymore. We've been building it. And we're bringing it back to a place we all know. The public square. A bit safer. A bit better. Let that sink in.

Hey, at least the stupid UK law applied to bsky. The Australian law is (currently) only specific named platforms that don't include here
As of 10 December 2025, Facebook, Instagram, Kick, Reddit, Snapchat, Threads, TikTok, Twitch, X and YouTube are required to take reasonable steps to prevent Australians under 16 from having accounts on their platforms. Services that eSafety considers do not currently meet the criteria for being an 'age-restricted social media platform' (including those that fall within an exclusion in the legislative rules) include Discord, GitHub, Google Classroom, LEGO Play, Messenger, Pinterest, Roblox, Steam and Steam Chat, WhatsApp and YouTube Kids.
