Y’all, WTF are we even doing anymore? No black box warnings? No way for prescribers and patients to be fully educated.
In a move that reads like a dark punchline, the FDA has decided that menopause hormone therapies no longer need to carry their infamous black box warning the one alerting women to serious risks like breast cancer, heart attack, and stroke.
Hormone replacement therapy will no longer carry a warning label, FDA says
Black box labels on the medications — which are prescribed to treat menopause symptoms — warn of serious risks like breast cancer and heart attacks, which has discouraged some women from taking them.

Background Noise🖤

Perhaps one day

Someone will love me loudly
Publicly
Inclusively

Every piece of me
The dark
The light
The intense

Perhaps one day

Someone will love me the way I love
Loudly
Publicly
Intensely

Until then I’ll stay in the dark
In the quiet
In the background

CHILDREN

NEVER

DESERVE

TO

DIE

And if you so much as try to justify or reduce what happened in TX into some partisan BS or “but this other thing is also bad and so why do you care about 70 dead kids here” please go examine your dying soul
my goddaughter is seven going on eight so yeah, i've been crying hysterically reading about those little girls in texas. anyone i see saying "well, their parents voted for-" is getting blocked on sight, if not nuked from orbit

This is unfortunately reminiscent of early camps in Nazi Germany, which were also widely lauded by politicians (they were by no means a secret), treated as tourist curiosities, and featured in glossy magazine spreads. It’s unfathomable to me how so many people can take such joy in human suffering.
Floridians are taking pictures of themselves next to the sign for their new death camp

As I've said before, giving this concentration camp a cutesy name is reprehensible

Wearable fitness trackers
RFK Jr. wants to see everyone in the US using wearable fitness trackers within four years. This idea is dumb for a lot of reasons, several of which I’ve mentioned here, and another one is that the tech usually gets outdated within 2 years.

A livable wage and safe neighborhoods last a lot longer.

This is why I won’t do DM’s here. Anyways, at least he asked instead of just sending.

Side note my dream was just that the OR was in a water park and my dog and ex-husband were there. Just a very weird dream and combining of worlds.

I advocated so hard for safe staffing in the ICUs a few weeks ago that the director called me with a, "I heard you have a problem with my plan" to which I responded, "Yeah, I do actually" that I just received a handwritten apology letter in the mail.

DC reporters have indicated there's some skepticism in Congress about putting their names on attacking Big Bird, so they may struggle to find the votes for this.

Let's make it a little harder. Call your reps and tell them hell no to PBS, NPR and foreign aid cuts. Scripts/language here:

ACTIONS MEET CONSEQUENCES…

North Carolina voted for Trump in 2016, 2020, and 2024—now he’s denying the state’s FEMA request. Again.

Reminder: Senator Ted Budd (R-NC) and Rep. Dan Bishop (R-NC) voted against FEMA funding on September 25, 2024.
