Everyone deserves a wage they can live off, one that is enough to pay their bills.
There is also no reason why apprentices should be paid at a level well below the poverty line. Essentials like food, fuel and electricity don’t cost any less for them than they do for the rest of us.

It’s really difficult to imagine the world that Celtic directors live in. The AGM video statement is so far from reality that it’s laughable.

As I slipped and slid along slushy and icy pavements on my way to the metro, it feels like it’s worth resharing the story of how Swedish cities flipped the order of snow clearance as they reflected on how gendered normal practices were:

Iowa City made its buses free in Aug 2023 as a 2-year experiment. Worked so well, city council extended for another year. Paid for with a 1% increase in utility taxes and by doubling most public parking rates to $2 from $1.

The SNP's wrecking amendment to this motion has sadly passed, confirming that the Scottish Government no longer opposes the Rosebank oil field application. A huge step backwards and a sad day for Scotland's reputation on climate action.
Under Nicola Sturgeon & Humza Yousaf the Scottish Government rightly opposed the proposed Rosebank oil field.
John Swinney has sadly dropped that opposition and tried to avoid taking a position at all.
That's not good enough, so tomorrow the @scottishgreens.org will force a vote.
