I deleted my toxic X/Twitter account some time ago. Now I've deleted Facebook, Instagram and Threads in an effort to rid myself of Trump's tech bro disciples and their algorithms.
I hope Bluesky can remain clean for a while at least.

This will only get worse in 2025. Very worried that money from Musk (and others) will be funding right-wing pro-Russian politicians here in the UK too, feeding on disappointment in our new government and a pathetic official opposition to fire up misguided populism.
It grimly looks as if the Putin regime so ardently championed by the incoming US administration and the owner of X/Twitter has shot down another civilian airliner, killing 38 people aboard.

It's hard to estimate the extent to which Musk is a threat to democracy and peace. I'm sure it's worse than my poor brain can imagine.

I’ve finally come off X and hope for a more pleasant experience here without the toxic rubbish and un-wanted ads etc. I’ll never have loads of followers but maybe I’ll find a more welcoming environment more like the old Twitter used to be!
