I’ve been enjoying the Strava sub preview, if only because it’s a break from the usual Garmin trash-talking.
It wasn’t the rain that slowed me down… it was picking my way through the piles of toads and rat snakes on the waterlogged trail at 5:30am with only a headlamp.

Finally won at Final Girl - Reiko vs Hans the Butcher. There’s a lot you can do to a bad guy when you bring an axe and a bear trap. He revived with a single heart on his token, and I was fortunate to still have a weak attack card to give him a tiny poke.

I’m an Old who only likes 80s-brand horror, so after finally getting Final Girl, I was pretty stoked.

First serious long run since injury recovery after last October’s marathon. Everything felt wrong, awful, or both; but I knew it was coming. It’s not a Go Fast year, and I’m fine with it. It’s a Build Back Better From Last Year year, and I’m gonna do that instead. First race this year is in 4 weeks!

I don’t want to yuck in the UI yum, but overlapping the comments control with that scroll-to-the-top-and-refresh control caused me to lose the post I wanted to see the engagement in.

Current Garmin plan is a tough PR for a Half in an upcoming series. I appreciate Coach Greg’s confidence, but what he doesn’t know is that I’m about to reschedule today’s 100-minute long run because there’s no way this boy is going out in a blizzard warning.

Adding some stability running shoes to the rotation, post-quad rehab. My only complaint about Brooks running shoes is that they don’t offer much in the way of color variety for 2E or 4E width shoes; so if I want something fun, I have to go half a size up in a regular width to give myself more room.
