Illinois offers six pro sport specialty plates, and there are 15,750 cars registered in Chicago bearing one.

Over half are White Sox plates, which I interpret as more of a South Side pride thing than a White Sox fandom thing. There are 53 brave souls driving around with St. Louis Cardinals plates.
