Also did a quick #watercolour...
15mins #Lifedrawing pose... I remember feeling thrilled adding two brushes of faint grey shadow, not knowing if it would help!
It's like the satisfaction from an unexpectedly great shot in cricket (or golf), in an otherwise really short (long) innings (round)!

Tried pastels for the first time too, really liked them for quick espressive mark making for short poses!
Trying three colours in combination, like I'd seen by Watteau recently at the British Museum - 'aux trois crayons'!? White didn't work?!
Loved it, and will try again!

Love it! Really like the expressive line work, and the placement of colour feels free but it's really effective... It has its own new character. I'm so childlike whenever I've used coloured pencils in the past, it's embarrassing, but this is great, and inspiring!

Thanks for sharing this Anita, loving your work generally - such creativity! This is great for me to see how watercolour life drawing could be! Inspiring!

Great fun! Particularly good being forced to work to time! Looking forward to next month.

A better version of her face! Glad I had a go at this challenge... So often I end up drawing what I think is supposed to be there, not what I observe! This pose was so unusual I had to try to pay more attention.
