I read a lot. I write some. I'm a dad. Also, I think it's important to speak out and push back against the villains currently in charge. Check more out here: https://substack.com/@robandersoniii
If you actually follow me because you like/are interested in what I say (probably about 3 of you), I encourage you to follow @truthlabexperiment.bsky.social … It’s a new thing I’m launching. Early days, so more to come.
We must not allow this to happen. It’s essential we explore and launch new funding mechanisms.
In 2025, the Trump administration’s cuts to research grants sapped scientists’ appetite for bold exploration. In its place, the country may be stuck with more timid, short-term thinking, @katherinejwu.com reports.

Another day, another attack on science. How can we do a better job of engaging the public in this battle?
The Trump administration says it will dismantle the National Center for Atmospheric Research, a cornerstone for American climate and weather science. I went on NPR today to explain what this could mean for climate research.

How should we judge this administration? By its actions and the awful impact of its policies. Bad fruit indeed.

He gets so many scans and tests. The best scans and tests. More scans and tests than George Washington and Abe Lincoln.
Nothing to see here folks. Just Convicted Felon Donald Trump calling the New York Times "treasonous" while bragging about his numerous medical appointments.

More evidence for invoking 25A.

Believe it or not, there was a time not long ago when young men didn’t take pride in being pathetic losers.
PIERS: “You’re not gay?”
FUENTES: “No. But women are very difficult to be around.”
P: “Should they vote?”
F: “No.”
PIERS: “They should stay home?”
FUENTES: “Yeah.”
PIERS: “So you’re just a misogynistic dinosaur. Have you ever had sex?”
FUENTES: “No.”
PIERS: “Wow. Says the guy who never got laid.”

Taking off his shirt is aggressive? Do you think he wanted to fist fight the missiles, Tom? What a disgrace.
In this Tom Cotton speculates that one of the shipwrecked men “taking off his tshirt” was a hostile act that required his execution by missile from miles away.

One of the most insane, sickening things I’ve ever heard from a US leader
WELKER: Lawmakers say the 2 men appeared to raise their arms potentially to surrender. Why did Admiral Bradley interpret these actions as anything other than them trying to survive?

TOM COTTON: They were sitting or standing on top of a capsized boat. They weren't floating helplessly in the water

As anyone paying even a tiny bit of attention at the time knew, all of this was correct and has played out exactly as predicted. Pretending this was hyperbole or unverifiable was always a political decision, not one based on journalistic standards or practices.

AI is really a technology designed primarily to be hype man/publicity agent for itself and for the nerds who created it.
Asked about his intellect, appearance and accomplishments, Elon Musk’s Grok chatbot consistently hailed Musk as “strikingly handsome,” raved about his “genius-level intellect” and ranked him as the No. 1 human, ahead of Leonardo da Vinci.
