If anyone has a reasonable explanation for why I have the Gummi Bears theme tune playing on repeat in my head, I'd love to hear it.

And no, I haven't heard it or watched the show recently.

It has arrived.

Now all I need to do is find players.
Or convince my D&D group to try it at some point.

I have been working my way through SEAL Team, because sometimes you just need DadTV

I've just reached the part where they moved from broadcast to streaming and immediately they are revelling in the ability to finally swear like military

Kinda amusing that past dialogue is now quaint in retrospect

I'm going to have so much fun with this

As the final patch drops, and the world moves on - the hype dies down, the cast move on to new projects...

I finally am able to buy Baldur's Gate 3

Because nothing kills a trend or hype like me finally being able to join in.

I've just watched the Game Changer episode The Official Cast Recording.

That might be one of my favourite things I've ever seen. Absolutely glorious.

Because sometimes you just need a man in a yellow jacket, wearing sunglasses indoors, dancing to a pop tune while spoon feeding a pig, who is also in sunglasses, oats.

I'm disappointed in all of you, including my lecturers from University over 20 years ago.

How come none of you told me there WAS in fact a movie version of the Odyssey, made in 1954, starring Kirk Douglas?

Just because it's called Ulysses doesn't let any of you off.

Just made myself a mug of that classic #brainfog drink.

Hot water, milk and sugar.
Yum.
And yes, I totally blanked on putting the coffee in this time. Sometimes it's got no teabags instead.

My back teeth were floating
And I did need to pee
When I lifted up the toilet lid
What did I see?
A little brown turdle head
Staring up at me.
With added flush and bog roll push
I sent him out to sea.
With a wistful wave I cried out loud
“Go big lad, be free.”

Had a few quid left from Christmas as an Amazon voucher - could not think what to spend it on as not really enough for anything I wanted

So I randomly bought the live DVD of a band I'd never heard of.

And they rock.

Blues Pills - Lady in Gold.

Bluesy rock, right up my alley.

I won this time

I think Licence to Kill has my favourite visual throwaway gag in all of Bond.

It's when he's escorted by heaviest to Hemingway House and we see a figure watching him, letting a cat walk away.

The whole build up to "Wait, is it Blofeld?" And then, no, it's M.

A small thing but I love it.

I have thoughts…
I suspect this is because the “murder mystery” format as developed in Victorian fiction is an attempt to impose rational order on chaos, and so creates the illusion that someone is in control, that someone will fix this mess, even if everything except the murder mystery is batshit. It’s reassurance.
David Lynch knew the essential secret of storytelling: you can do whatever the fuck you want as long as you’re also trying to solve a murder

I have so many ideas for things that could maybe get me out of my shitty situation in life.

But I don’t know which one will do it, and I’m so worried that I’ll choose wrong that I’m doing none of them instead.

There’s got to be a word for too many options paralysis.
It’s probably German.

So, Sakamoto Days is finally out on Netflix.

There's been a wave of manga readers bemoaning the animation before it came out, but honestly, it's a solid action anime so far.

Their expectations for absolute top tier animation are going to ruin a fun adaptation for themselves.

Go watch it, it's fun

Memphis Belle

One of my favourites films btw.

I guess that means that shit is going to get rough, but my crew and I will hit the target and get home.

I can take that.
Back to the Future for me. Lol. Surely true but not very helpful.

It's 90 minutes into Triangle of Sadness and it just made me half smile for the first time.

This is supposed to be a black comedy.
So far, it's dull, repetitive and boring.
