My argument is that Trump is suing the wrong organisation: he needs to go after whoever publicised the clip in the US, as the Beeb never intended the programme to be viewed in the US nor offered the programme to US viewers.

Also find it odd that the settlements with American media companies mentioned but not the fact that some like paramount settled to help aid coperate mergers higher up, and that many lawyers thought their cases winnable.

I wondered about jurisdiction too. Also whether one wonky edit didn't invalidate the sting of the alleged libel. Or whether the BBC could argue it didn't substantially harm the reputation of the convicted felon and adjudicated rapist who is in the Epstein files.

Honestly. My loathing for that man is boundless. Never a situation where he’s not looking to manipulate, divide, grift, self-promote, vilify, ruin…
He’s repulsive. And the damage he does to our country is catastrophic. And that is no exaggeration.

This is the most deranged situation. We are literally being kicked about by fake-newsers threatening to bankrupt our own public service broadcaster, to shield an insurrectionist from a reality that he can’t accept.

Saying you're going to quickly replace ANY Air Traffic Controller is like saying you're going to quickly replace rare brain surgeons who are experts in their particular specialty and part of the brain.

Never seen so many "innocent" people fight so hard to keep files sealed… Release the Epstein files so we can judge for ourselves.
