Massive book and not an easy read either! Incredibly dense prose, zillions of characters, flipping between stories. Still good though

Benefit of the doubt, I think just probably more biased by the authors' viewpoint. It's a reasonable position to take, just not one I agree with

I agree with most of it, except I'm not fully convinced by the ultimate transformative claim (that it's as big as industrial revolution etc).
That still takes achieving some form of superintelligence, which may be a very, very long way away, if at all.
