November 9th. #albumaday2025. Underscores - skin purifying treatment // A solid EP that mixes up dubstep, lo-fi, and some very vocally-driven songwriting.

November 8th. #albumaday2025. Danny Brown - Stardust // You will not be shocked to learn that Danny Brown rapping over the production of several hyperpop artists fucking rules. That is all.

Ping-Pong Peril: another casuallty for the Shonen Jump graveyard. I guess the children didn't yearn for "Balls of Fury but as a shonen series." I did appreciate the closing chapter having aliens as the big reveal; every bit as coke-fueled as the premise itself.

Blue Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati Saga -- oh joy, a show I don't really like having an arc focused heavily on my least favorite character in said show (Izumo). At least the mad scientist villain was kinda fun, so it had more going on than Kyoto Saga.

Dragon Ball Daima: finally caught up with the last episode (was watching the Toonami broadcast). An interesting dive back into the supernatural side of the DB mythos that pulls off evoking the spirit of the original Kid Goku era. A joy from start to finish with plenty of fun new characters in tow.

Blood on the Tracks, volume 15: finally found this specific volume so I could pick the series back up. Probably the slowest set of chapters pacing-wise as it's dedicated to Seiko's backstory, which is sad in an unnervingly ordinary sorta way, but not quite as bombshell-fueled as other volumes.

The Summer Hikaru Died, volume 6: picks up damn near right where season 1 of the anime left off, with further explorations into the boundaries between the human world and the "Other Side." There's also a lot of fun Yuta Maki material, and the volume ends on *one hell of a spread, goddamn!*

-Given that the season finale also was meant to be a series finale, I gotta ask if there's like a Futurama thing going on, where the show's overall momentum leads to every other season finale also having to sorta double as the show's potential end.

-hehehe... "Pro-Pain."
-There's like at least three "Bill tries to do something with his life and it backfires" episodes and I feel kinda bad that the world punishes him for trying to do better.
-Speaking of which, I see the Dauterive family episode has Bobby doing some cooking.

-wait hang on, the kid Luanne took to prom was voiced by Sokka from ATLA?
-OH THAT'S THE DEAL WITH RUSTY SHACKLEFORD! I was wondering what was up with that since Dale hadn't used that name for a good handful of seasons.
-The ZZ Top episode feels like another forced set of cameos.
