A ★★ review of Scarecrows (1988)
A decent B-Movie concept is clumsily executed in Scarecrows - a reasonably fun slice of slasher/horror fare if you keep your alcohol levels up and your expectations low. Really low. Shot in 1985 but s...

A tripwire tale of your childhood trauma dictating every move in adulthood, Haunt is a rollicking horror yarn in The Funhouse mould.  Rather like Tobe Hooper’s under appreciated carnival of horrors, H...

Look beyond the Hollywood uplift and 28 Weeks Later (2007) is an exciting sequel that improves thematically upon its forebear. The uncertainty of aftermath, military overreach and motifs of self-preservation see it mature like a fine wine. And that intro is one for the ages ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
June 22, 2025 at 8:41 AM
The most striking thing about 28 Days Later (2002) remains those stunning early scenes of a desolate London hellscape devoid of humanity. After that it descends into exciting, blood-pumping emptiness accompanied by music so damn good that you forget how daft it all is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
