Look beyond the Hollywood uplift and 28 Weeks Later (2007) is an exciting sequel that improves thematically upon its forebear. The uncertainty of aftermath, military overreach and motifs of self-preservation see it mature like a fine wine. And that intro is one for the ages ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The most striking thing about 28 Days Later (2002) remains those stunning early scenes of a desolate London hellscape devoid of humanity. After that it descends into exciting, blood-pumping emptiness accompanied by music so damn good that you forget how daft it all is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

As a father and a son, the themes of parental responsibility and a misguided desperation to keep my children safe really hit home in Wolf Man (2025). It was suspenseful, tense and on multiple occasions it broke my fucking heart. Loved every second.

How long is this game!? I’m not complaining but I am in the process of tracking ‘the crocodile’ and still have about 2/3 of the map to discover…
