There's a special place in hell for toy designers who design battery powered toys without an on/off switch. Where the only way to immediately shut them up is by unscrewing the battery compartment and removing the batteries! Madness!

That's a great hit from Paqueta, but surely Pope needs to catch that cross in the build-up, rather than punching it? It looped up in the air and he wasn't under massive pressure.

I know the Rice and Trossard red cards last season were ridiculous, but it vexes me no end that they both quite obviously kicked the ball away during that half. Thankfully, the ref dealt with both incidents sensibly. But neither of them could have complained much if they'd been booked #ARSCRY

Looks like Palace have gone fairly strong tonight. Of the usual starters, it looks like only Richards and Wharton on the bench. Let's hope our extra couple of days to recover pays dividends come Sunday!

Ha, Alan Shearer said he thinks Rice is better as number 8, but that he is "equally" good as a number 6. This on the same day that Michael Dawson said on Soccer Saturday that "both teams have had a lot of possession." 😁

I tell you what, if/when West Ham sack Potter, they'll be in for Mourinho, I reckon.
Just seen an angry West Ham fan refer to Graham Potter as a nerd, and it's really made me chuckle. Has Potter done anything to be considered a nerd? Or is it simply that he shares a surname with Harry Potter, who wears glasses? Either way, it's very funny.

I know it's easy to say after a penalty shootout with so many misses, but it seemed like players from both sides were rushing a bit. They could have done with taking a couple of more breathes before their run ups.

I'm on record as saying that the opening 20 minutes of Casino Royale is an incredible piece of cinema. And I know that it's a two-decade old film. But could they not have hired a Daniel Craig stunt double with the same haircut as Craig? It's so noticeable and distracting, even in the wide shots.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has confirmed he is leaving Everton at the end of his contract after nine years at Goodison Park.
Calvert-Lewin will officially leave Everton on July 1 and will be available as a free agent.
