The Great Tom Stoppard has left this earth. One can only say of him that he was one of the greats.

My near-favourite of his was "Professional Foul" with Peter Barkworth, but Rosencrantz is as close to it as makes no difference.

Sadness abounds. I hope he gets a place or memorial at Poets Corner.

I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

🚨Dept. of Education proposes to exclude public health degrees from the “professional degree” category.

That means new public health experts could lose access to key higher ed resources, like loan limits & reimbursement.

A bold strategy to let infectious diseases win! 🦠

To Pinguin or not to Pinguin, that is the question.

I have a couple of incredibly robust ex CAD workstations. They are effectively unbreakable. But they wont run a native W11, because TPM.

So to a 'nix or a BSD or ......

And the question I have to ask is: what do I want them to do?

Here's a dramatically radical proposal for the UK.

a] reintroduce Lord Chancellor's role as censor and
b] nationalise all media channels: TV, Radio, and online news sites.
c] require all social media to pay annual license fee in direct proportion to the number of UK users they have.

Will The Turkey pardon the turkey, or will the turkey pardon The Turkey?

Should either be allowed to do either?
