As I was growing up in the late 40s and 50s British comedy films quite routinely took the piss out of many aspects of life, notably but not only, life in post-war Britain.
I had no idea then that these films would turn out to be futurist documentaries.

Today is Holocaust Memorial Day.
It's also my mother's 100th Birthday.
Mother avoided the Holocaust by cravenly running away from Berlin on 2nd September 1939 on the last commercial flight out of Germany after spending 4 years helping to evacuate Jewish families from Germany.
