Today is Holocaust Memorial Day.
It's also my mother's 100th Birthday.
Mother avoided the Holocaust by cravenly running away from Berlin on 2nd September 1939 on the last commercial flight out of Germany after spending 4 years helping to evacuate Jewish families from Germany.

When my parents first took me to Germany to visit surviving family in 1950 I knew nothing much about the war: I was still more or less a toddler with little awareness of history.
Later as I started to learn of the Holocaust and the Nazi regime and as we visited more often it became obvious

In 1935 my grandfather lost his job in Germany as a mathematician and Professor, teaching or responsible for the teaching of thousands. He and his wife fled with some but not all of their possessions.
Strangely, they chose to flee to the USA.

Their younger daughter become a political reporter.

According to Reuters India's Modi is proposing to force through legislation that requires smartphone and app makers to share their source code.

That could get a bit interesting and rather confusing if he pushes that through successfully. India is currently the second largest market after China.
