Delighted to be one of the winners of the Irish Writers Centre Novel Fair 2025. I've worked on my novel for two years and this gives me a massive opportunity to try to get it published. Excited for what's next!
I know understanding of early and late is shredded by ads and the discourse but I just saw a house with the Christmas lights up, wtf.

I love this show every month, just a great meandering trip through a wide range of ambient music.

Every time there's a story like this that doesn't explain what the AI is supposed to do, who is providing it, who decided to implement it, how much it costs, how success or failure will be measured, etc, is quite a big failure. Tech doesn't implement itself.

I am sure there'll be a conversation about whether this excludes people, but I'd wager downloading and printing is already harder than using an app, and both are digitally exclusionary. It's not an offline user journey just because it ends with a piece of paper in your hand.

Genuinely don't know what the point of not saying this or this sort of back and forth is. Is it just we are going to do this but we want to announce it at a time of our choosing for PR reasons?

I'd watch a film about the Bond writers all living in a tightly guarded prison, held at gunpoint, and believing since birth that Bond is real and the events they are forced to write all come true, as appears to be the case.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

Been having p much no real joy with using a CPAP machine and had a check-in with NHS today. I was feeling a bit like what's the point but they were so amazing, just mega encouraging and also assuring me there are diff setups they can try plus v determined that I wouldn't think it's my fault.

Kind of funny that the biggest PS5 videogame of the year avoids any of the strawman myths which the curator discusses trying to challenge in this article. Or that a discourse between a PS5 game and a museum show on this subject is on a fairly level playing field.
